The Westin Tailgate Mat protects the inside surface of the pickup tailgate from direct contact with cargo during loading, unloading and hauling. Unlike Westin's 3/8-inch bed mats, this tailgate mat uses a 1/8-inch-thick construction made from 100% recycled rubber.
The molded rubber surface provides added traction and helps shield the tailgate from routine cargo wear. Westin specifies that the mat can be used with or without a spray-in liner.
