The RUPES Bigfoot Mille Gear Driven Polisher - LK900E/US/STD is a high-performance, professional-grade tool designed to provide a perfect finish with minimal effort. It features a gear-driven mechanism that ensures a consistent, smooth polishing action, allowing it to deliver exceptional results even on challenging surfaces. The ergonomic design and user-friendly controls make it a pleasure to work with, while the powerful motor delivers the torque needed to tackle even the most stubborn paint imperfections.

The RUPES BigFoot LK900E 'Mille' was designed with the aim of providing a forced rotation machine that offered faster-cutting capability than other gear driven models and also faster cutting than the BigFoot LHR21 MK II or the BigFoot LHR15 MK II. As a result, the Mille provides exceptional cutting power with minimal heat generation and very little steering, more in line with a standard DA. The RUPES-designed Mille's electric motor allows it to operate with a clockwise rotation, reducing unwanted lateral movement and therefore reducing operator fatigue.

Directions for Use:

  1. Prepare the surface: Wash and dry the vehicle thoroughly. Use a clay bar or iron remover to decontaminate the paint if necessary
  2. Choose the appropriate pad and polish: Select the correct pad and polish combination based on the paint's condition and desired results
  3. Attach the pad: Center the pad onto the backing plate, ensuring it's secure and aligned
  4. Apply the polish: Apply a small amount of polish to the pad or the surface, using either the "butterfly" or "dot" method
  5. Set the speed: Adjust the speed control dial to the appropriate setting for the task at hand
  6. Begin polishing: Start the polisher with the pad flat on the surface
  7. Using moderate pressure, work in a 2'x2' area using a cross-hatch pattern (horizontal and vertical passes) until the polish begins to clear
  8. Periodically clean the pad and inspect the surface for progress
  9. Inspect the results: Wipe away the polish residue with a clean microfiber towel and inspect the surface for defects
  10. If necessary, repeat the process until the desired result is achieved
  11. After completing the polishing process, remove any residual compound with a clean microfiber cloth
  12. Finish the job: Once satisfied with the results, apply a wax or sealant to protect the paint

Best Practices:

  • Always work on a cool surface in a shaded area to prevent the polish from drying too quickly
  • Keep the polisher's pad flat on the surface to avoid uneven pressure and minimize the risk of paint damage
  • Regularly clean and inspect your pads to ensure optimal performance and prevent cross-contamination
  • Use the least aggressive pad and polish combination necessary
  • Work in small sections to maintain better control and achieve consistent results
  • Avoid excessive pressure on the polisher, as it may cause swirl marks or burn the paint
  • Frequently inspect your work to ensure you are achieving the desired results and not causing any damage
  • Use high-quality polishing compounds and pads designed for use with gear-driven polishers
  • Allow the polisher to do the work – do not force it or try to speed up the process
  • Practice on a test panel or inconspicuous area before working on the entire vehicle

Safety Information:

  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection
  • Keep the polisher's power cord away from the working area to prevent entanglement or damage
  • Do not use the polisher if the power cord or plug is damaged
  • Ensure the polisher is turned off and unplugged before changing the backing plate or pad
  • Never operate the polisher near flammable materials or in a wet environment
